Storytime with...

Mommy, Muddy & Me!

As a former teacher, I know the importance of reading to kids

whenever and wherever possible!  So here at the studio, I'll do the

reading and you and your child will do the muddy part.  After each

story, you will create a clay project that relates to the story.  The

best part is that the clay is air-dry, so you can take it home that

same day!  This is offered each Tuesday afternoon and the first

Saturday of each month, so come often because the projects are

always different!  This is a great activity for Mom's Groups or

parents who are looking for other parents to connect with! 

Grandparents are more than welcome to come with the grandkids

 too!!

Tips:

Do not wear your Sunday best clothes.

Please arrive on time.  

Be ready to get muddy and have fun! 

When:  Tuesdays 1-2pm and

            1^st Saturday of each month 10-11am

We will be reading Too Many Pumpkins, by Megan Lloyd and we will be making

our own clay pumpkin. 

Saturday, October 11^th

We will be reading, The Very Lonely Firefly, by Eric Carle and making clay fireflies!

Tuesday, October 14^th

We will be reading, Elmer, by David McKee and making our very own clay elephant.

Tuesday, October 21^st

We will reading The Scarecrow’s Hat by Ken Brown and making leaf prints in clay to

hang up in your home.

Tuesday, October 28^th

We will be reading The Night Before Halloween  by Natasha Wing and creating a character

of your choice.

Saturday November 1^st

We will be reading The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and making a clay tree using your handprint.

Tuesday November 4^th

We will be reading Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh and making mice with paintbrushes!

Tuesday November 11^th: 

We will be reading, The Polar Express, by Ellen Stoll Walsh.  We will be making a clay train!

Tuesday November 18^th

We will be reading a special Thanksgiving story TBA.  We will be painting a Turkey Handprint Plate

with your child’s name on it, which you can use for Turkey Day!

Tuesday December 2^nd:

We will be reading, The Mitten, by Jan Brett, and making a mitten ornament out of clay!

Saturday December 6^th

We will be reading, The Gingerbread Man, by Catherine McCafferty and making your own clay

gingerbread man!

Tuesday December 9^th

We will be reading the classic story, T'was the Night Before Christmas, by Clement C. Moore and

painting your choice of a holiday ornament!
